Club History

From its founding in 1924, Ledgemont Country Club has followed the grand traditions of private country clubs by providing an exceptional golf course, gracious dining facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Originally located in West Warwick, RI (now Valley CC), Ledgemont moved to our current location in Seekonk, MA in 1949 in order to expand to 18-holes to meet the demand of the growing membership.  The vision of the membership planted the seeds for success and excellence by carefully designing and building facilities that offer a sense of belonging, giving all future members a home away from home.

Our current Championship golf course was designed by renowned architect Alfred Tull.  Tull, a former Partner with Devereaux Emmet, was known for designing generous greens and creating natural, flowing routings that fit the landscape.  Ledgemont is considered a perfect example of his classical course design and has stood the test of time.  In fact Ledgemont has played host to many marquee events, including the New England PGA Championship, RI Open, and the RI Amateur to name but a few.
