Earning its reputation as one of the finest private clubs in the region, the golf course defines the club’s proud tradition as a premier venue for the most discriminating golfer. Designed in 1924 by acclaimed golf course architect, Alfred Tull, it is a par 71, 18 hole championship course. Playing to a slope of 135, the golf course encourages all levels of play and is as challenging as it is beautiful.
Abundant with wildlife, it is a truly private retreat in pristine condition, featuring a unique layout, rolling fairways, challenging greens and some of the most demanding holes in the region. It’s no wonder that visiting pros and members alike refer to the course as a “hidden gem.”
Ledgemont is a member of the RIGA, RIWGA and the MGA. The Club has hosted a variety of prestigious local tournaments, including the NEPGA Championship, RI Open, RIWGA Open, RI Stroke Play Championship, RI State Amateur, RI Junior Championship, Tri-State Championship, and USGA Junior Amateur Qualifiers. Annual member events include adult leagues, as well as tournaments for men, women, juniors and couples. The teaching staff offers junior golf programs for players ages 5-17, as well as adult clinics focused on various aspects of the game. They are also available for both group and private lessons utilizing the most advanced technology including video swing analysis.
